Our Annual Art Show kicked off on Grandparents Day in the library on Friday 24th October — and what an incredible celebration of creativity it was! Every student contributed a unique artwork, with selected pieces showcased in the library for the week. Featured artists proudly presented their framed masterpieces to huge crowds, wowing audiences with their imagination, colour and talent. What an inspiring evening celebrating our future leaders! 👏
Year 3 Explore the Great Outdoors
Today, students from 3J, 3N, and half of 3D ventured out to the Wooglemai Environmental Education Centre for their Geography excursion. They had a fantastic day discovering more about the natural environment, including learning about the bowerbird’s nest, waratah, and the fascinating Wollemi pine.

The Colour Run
We had a wonderful day for our colour run today!
A big thanks to the CSPS community for their huge fundraising efforts, to Mrs White for her outstanding organisation, the staff for being great sports, and the kids for having so much fun. And to all the parents who not only joined us today, but to everyone who is at home tonight doing the extra long wash cycle and supervising extra long showers! We are sorry (not really) for all that colour!
100 Days of Learning
100 days of learning, 100 days of fun, 100 days of Kindergarten!
Today, Kindergarten celebrated their 100th day of Kindergarten by dressing like they were 100 years old. Students listened to stories, made 100 crowns, created portraits of themselves as 100 year olds and painted 100 gum balls in a gum ball machine.
The students particularly liked seeing their teachers who were also dressed up.
Mayor for a Day
A huge congratulations to Lucas for representing Camden South Public School at the Mayor for a Day competition at Camden Council yesterday!
Your wonderful speech truly impressed everyone, and we are so proud of you, Lucas!
Keep shining and inspiring us all! 🌟
🐮 Kindergarten Calmsley Hill City Farm Adventure 🚜
Our Kindergarten students had a fantastic day exploring Calmsley Hill City Farm! They learned how living things have different features and needs, and discovered how plants and animals can be used for food and clothing. The highlights of the day were milking a cow and enjoying a tractor ride — such a fun and hands-on way to bring their science learning to life! 🌾🐑

NAIDOC Week
This week at Camden South Public School, we are proudly celebrating NAIDOC Week with a wide range of engaging activities for all students. On Monday, K-2 enjoyed arts and crafts sessions in the hall led by Camden High students and Mrs Amanda White, while Stage 3 students had the opportunity to cook at the Yarning Circle with Mrs Hogan and Greg from Yama2you bush tucker nursery. It’s been wonderful to see our students embracing and celebrating the rich histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Southern Tablelands Dance Festival
Tonight we had the privilege of watching our Junior and Senior Dance groups perform at the Southern Tablelands Dance Festival tonight at the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre. Both groups were just outstanding! So many talented dancers here at CSPS! A special thanks to Mrs Dorrington and Mrs Koureas for all of their work choreographing and rehearsing with the groups and to Mrs White for helping with supervision tonight.
Extra Extra- Read All About It!
Last week, Camden South Public School proudly welcomed Deputy Premier Prue Car to celebrate our incredible achievement as the top school in NSW for the 2024 Premier’s Reading Challenge!
