Opportunity Class

The Opportunity Class (OC) at Camden South Public School offers an engaging and challenging learning environment for academically gifted students. Each year, 15 Year Five students are selected through the Opportunity Class Placement Test to take part in this two-year program. Opportunity classes are one of the ways that the department supports high potential and gifted students.

Students in the OC enjoy enriched, inquiry-based learning that extends their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. They also have plenty of opportunities to connect with peers across the school through extracurricular activities such as sport, Tournament of the Minds, debating, dance, choir, band, public speaking, and more — ensuring a well-rounded and connected learning experience. 💛💙
